A passenger plane owned by Venezuela's state-run airline Conviasa has crashed, killing at least 14 people.
About 50 people were on board the plane as it came down just outside a steel mill.
The plane was on a domestic route between the Caribbean island of Margarita and the southern industrial city of Puerto Ordaz when it crashed.
'We still don't know the exact cause. I hope we are able find more survivors,' said local governor Francisco Rangel Gomez.
Mr Gomez added that the pilot had radioed warning the plane was in difficulty.
A Puerto Ordaz hospital said many of the survivors have been seriously injured.
