A 28-year-old man has appeared in court in Belfast accused of attempting to murder a policewoman during the 12 July rioting in Ardoyne in the north of the city.
Roger Jorro Costa, originally from Barcelona but with an address in south Belfast, was also charged with 'riotous assembly'.
He was charged at the weekend after presenting himself at a police station.
The PSNI had issued a photograph of a man investigators wanted to question in connection with an incident in which a policewoman suffered head injuries when a concrete block was dropped on her.
Mr Costa, who has been living in Belfast for several months, was remanded in custody.
His lawyer said he intended making an application for bail at a later date.
