The funeral mass of RTÉ broadcaster Gerry Ryan has taken place in Dublin.
Hundreds of mourners packed the church of St John the Baptist in Clontarf.
President Mary McAleese, who knew Gerry Ryan in Trinity College and was also a colleague of his in RTÉ, was among the mourners.
Broadcasting colleagues Marian Finucane, Ryan Tubridy, Joe Duffy and Pat Kenny were in attendance, as were members of Westlife, Louis Walsh, Twink and other leading figures from the entertainment world.
Outside the church, fans lined the streets to say their farewells.
Gerry Ryan's wife Morah, from whom he was separated, paid tribute to his loyal listeners and thanked them for the love they have shown the family since his death last Friday.
After the mass, his coffin was taken to Dardistown Cemetery, where he was buried alongside his parents.
In a statement, the Ryan family asked for family flowers only, but suggested that in lieu of floral tributes, Gerry's many friends and fans could make a donation to their own charity of choice.
The 53-year-old presenter was found dead at his apartment at Upper Leeson Street last Friday.
Thousands of people have been paying tribute on specially-dedicated websites to the broadcaster.
Mr Ryan's funeral was broadcast live on RTÉ Radio and online.
