There is expected to be criticism of Taoiseach Brian Cowen's leadership from backbench TDs at a Fianna Fáil parliamentary party meeting scheduled for tomorrow.
The criticism follows the anger expressed by several TDs after last week's ministerial reshuffle.
The chairman of the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party has said tomorrow's meeting will not clash with an announcement of a rescue package for the banks.
The parliamentary party meeting was scheduled to take place at 5.30pm, just half an hour before Finance Minister Brian Lenihan outlines his plan for recapitalising the banks.
Wexford TD John Browne said the time of the meeting has yet to be finalised, but it will take place either later tomorrow night or following Leaders' Questions on Wednesday morning.
