Up to 600 members of the Unite trade union staged industrial action at the Central Bank and the Office of the Financial Regulator.
The union said the one-day strike was due to the frustration at management's withdrawal from talks over employment contracts. It claims this is a breach of existing arrangements.
Pickets were placed all day on the Central Bank in Dame Street and at the Office of the Financial Regulator on College Green in Dublin city centre.
Pickets were also be place at the Central Bank's currency centre in Sandyford.
The Central Bank said it regretted any inconvenience to the public.
