Quinnsworth founder dies at 74

Pat Quinn, the founder of former supermarket chain Quinnsworth, has died in Canada at the age of 74.

Mr Quinn, originally from Cloone in Co Leitrim, sold his stores in the 1970s and had lived in Toronto since 1986.

He was a prominent member of the Irish community there, as owner of PJ O'Brien's pub and restaurant.

Mr Quinn was also a well-known concert promoter in Ireland in the 1960s.
