Tamiflu-resistant swine flu detected

Health officials in Wales say a strain of human swine flu that is resistant to the anti-viral medication Tamiflu has been transmitted from one person to another.

Five patients, with serious underlying health problems, were infected with the strain.

Three appear to have acquired the infection while being treated at a hospital in Cardiff.

They are thought to be the world's first confirmed cases of person-to-person transmission of a Tamiflu-resistant strain.
