Hundreds of people have attended the funeral of Cadet David Jevens in Barntown, Co Wexford.
Cadet Jevens was one of the two pilots killed in a plane crash in Connemara, Co Galway, on Monday.
The funeral took place with full military honours at St Alphonsus’ Church in Barntown.
The 22-year-old was buried afterwards in the church grounds.
The bodies of Captain Derek Furniss and Cadet Jevens were brought from Galway to Casement Aerodrome in Baldonnel for a prayer service on Wednesday evening.
The remains of Captain Furniss, who was 32, were brought to his home in Rathfarnham in Dublin yesterday.
He will be buried with full military honours tomorrow after a memorial service at St John the Evangelist Church in Ballinteer.
