Two men released in McDaid murder probe

Two men being questioned in connection with events surrounding the murder of Kevin McDaid have been released pending further inquiries.

Two men, who were arrested yesterday by police investigating the murder in Derry of Kevin McDaid, have been released pending further inquiries.

The pair were being questioned in connection with events surrounding the murder of the community worker in Coleraine last May, and the attempted murder of another man.

It is being reported that the arrested men were the twin sons of the late Mr McDaid, who was killed by a loyalist mob outside his home.
