Gas prices in Northern Ireland are set to drop by almost 20% from the start of October.
It is the second time this year that Phoenix Natural Gas has dropped prices.
Last January, householders in Northern Ireland saw their gas bills reduced by just over 22%.
Today's announcement means that from next month, gas prices will be back at 2006 levels.
Phoenix says that the average domestic gas bill will fall by £104 per year.
The company has described its decision to introduce a second price drop this year as 'unprecedented in the history of the natural gas industry' in Northern Ireland.
The move, which has been broadly welcomed, has been attributed to a drop in wholesale prices by Northern Ireland's Utility Regulator Iain Osborne.
