The incident occurred during a League of Ireland match between Bray Wanderers and Shamrock Rovers at the Carlisle Grounds.

The collapse happened after Shamrock Rovers striker Gary Twigg scored his team's second goal.

As Twigg celebrated, several Rovers' fans rushed towards the perimeter wall which then collapsed.

Two units of the Wicklow fire brigade were called to the scene along with gardaí and other emergency services.

The game was delayed for 30 minutes.

One man was taken to hospital with a leg injury and the debris was removed in order for the game to continue.
