Three people were killed and 30 wounded in a roadside bomb in a market in north Baghdad's Shaab district.
In central Baghdad, a bomb in a parked car killed five people in Karrada.
Another roadside bomb hit a minibus carrying secondary school students in Sadr City in the east of the capital, killing three and wounding 12.
Outside Baghdad, a suicide bomber detonated his device outside the Falluja municipal council building in western Iraq, killing one person and wounding five.
The Iraqi army said a roadside bomb also killed three soldiers near the northern town of Khanaqin, which is disputed by Arabs and Kurds.
