Manufacturing company Braun, has said 160 jobs are to be lost with the closure of its factory in Carlow.
The company, which makes oral health care and personal care products, said 100 of the 260 employees at the plant will be transferred to its factory in Newbridge by the middle of next year.
It said it had decided to phase out some of its products, following a decrease in consumer demand.
