A jury at an inquest in Co Wexford into the deaths of four members of the Flood family has returned verdicts of unlawful killing in relation to three of them and a verdict of suicide in relation to the fourth.
Diarmuid Flood, his wife Lorraine and their two children Mark and Julie were found dead in their house in Clonroche on 26 April 2008.
The house had been destroyed by a fire.
An inquest into their deaths took place in Enniscorthy today.
The inquest heard that the two children, five-year-old Julie and six-year-old Mark had been smothered and had not died from smoke inhalation.
Their mother Lorraine, 38, had died from a single shotgun wound to the chest.
The jury returned verdicts of unlawful killing in relation to all three.
The inquest heard that Diarmuid Flood had died from a shotgun wound. A verdict of suicide was returned by the jury.
