Fionnuisce is recalling its 18.9 litre bulk containers of bottled water, after low levels of E coli were detected during a routine inspection by environmental health officers.
The Food Safety Authority is advising people not to drink this water as it is unsafe and may present a health risk.
The containers affected are supplied primarily to offices and businesses, but also to domestic users.
However they are sold directly to customers and are not available in retail outlets.
Supplies of smaller standard size Fionnuisce bottled water are not affected by this recall as the water comes from a separate source.
