A British soldier who was originally from Dublin has died of gunshot wounds in southern Afghanistan.

Corporal Sean Binnie was 22 and lived in Belfast.

He was killed during a patrol with the Afghan National Army.

Corporal Binnie served with the Black Watch regiment, and was one of four British solders killed in Afghanistan last Thursday.
