A woman was injured in a suspected stabbing at Dublin's Dolphin House complex this afternoon.
The woman was injured in the south city complex shortly before 3pm and brought to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
It is understood she was injured following an altercation between two groups of people.
Last night 100 residents held a meeting after 30 cars in the estate were vandalised by men wearing balacavas.
It is believed the attacks were organised as a reprisal for a Garda clampdown on drug dealing.
The meeting in a community centre was interrupted when a suspect device was discovered. It was later declared a hoax after gardaí called in army bomb experts.
Afterwards there were a number of minor disturbances and local people complained of intimidation.
Local councillor Críona Ní Dhálaigh (SF) said decent people in the complex cannot walk down the stairs because of illegal activity.
She said problems have been exacerbated by the collapse of the public private partnership projects.
'Most residents had their hopes pinned on regeneration and now it's not going to happen for years. I had phone calls from 15 people today asking me to get them out of there.'
Residents called for a permanent garda presence in the area to combat intimidation, anti-social behaviour and drug dealing.
The residents supported the demands of the Dolphin House Community Development Association, which stated that gardaí and Dublin City Council must act to ensure the safety of the community.
It said the situation has escalated to a point that was seriously damaging the quality of life for residents, including the ability of children to play safely in the estate.
The association is writing to the Minister for Justice, the Assistant Garda Commissioner and all local TDs to meet to discuss these issues.
It is also urging residents to register to vote in the upcoming local and European elections and to raise these demands for a safe community with all election candidates.
It says there are 550 people currently registered to vote in Dolphin House out of a potential 830.
