Staff at aircraft engine facility Lufthansa Technik Airmotive have been warned to accept a cost-cutting package by tomorrow.
If staff do not accept the offer, management say a $40m (€30m) investment programme will not go ahead and 465 jobs will be at risk.
The aircraft engines currently maintained at the Rathcoole facility in Dublin will soon be obsolete.
The investment would guarantee the future of the plant and its employees for the next 15 years.
The company said their proposals would not involve job josses or pay cuts.
The proposals were tabled by management yesterday after talks at the Labour Relations Commission concluded without agreement.
They say the termination of the investment by Lufthansa Technik Airmotive's parent company will result in a new engine type going to another facility within the organisation, and will inevitably lead to notice of layoffs and short-week working by the end of this week.
This will lead to the eventual wind-down of the facility and the loss of jobs.
The three trade unions at the facility are Unite, TEEU and SIPTU.
