Dublin city - Plan to stimulate spending

A group of almost 2,000 businesses in Dublin's city centre has launched a six-month programme to encourage people to spend time and money in the capital.

The plan by the Dublin City Business Improvement District includes street cleaning initiatives - including graffiti removal - street ambassadors and free family entertainment on the streets.

A ‘dine in Dublin’ promotion, in which restaurants across the city will offer a four course meal for a set promotional price in April, is among the incentives.

The DCBID is also establishing a partnership with the Ana Liffey Drug Project.
