A new national opinion poll shows that just 10% of voters are satisfied with the Government's performance, and that more than 50% are in favour of an immediate General Election.
The Millward Brown IMS poll in tomorrow's Irish Independent also confirms the collapse in support for Fianna Fáil.
Just 10% of voters are satisfied with the Government's performance, according to the poll, carried out among 1,100 voters on Monday and Tuesday.
86% of voters are dissatisfied, while 4% do not know.
The number wanting a General Election to give a new Government a mandate to deal with the economy is 52%, while 40% do not want an election.
Party support figures are broadly in line with other recent polls - Fianna Fáil is on 25%; Fine Gael is on 30%, the Labour Party is on 22%, the Green Party is on 5%, Sinn Féin is on 7% and Independents and others are on 10%.
Taoiseach Brian Cowen has the lowest satisfaction rating at 21%, with Labour Party leader Eamon Gilmore the highest at 52%.
