The row over the decision by the Northern Ireland’s Environment Minister to ban a climate change advertisement is escalating.
Earlier today the Northern Ireland Assembly's environment committee passed a motion of 'no confidence' in Sammy Wilson.
It follows his decision to ban the advertisement, dismissing it as part of an 'insidious propaganda campaign'.
Mr Wilson has already stated that he does not believe climate change is man-made, arguing instead that it is part of the Earth's natural cycle.
The Northern Ireland Environment Committee has agreed to write to the Office of First and Deputy First Minister to seek clarification on the Executive's climate change policy.
Meanwhile, Queen's University's radio station has indicated that it will defy the minister's ban and will broadcast the ad regularly all next week.
Mr Wilson outraged environmentalists throughout the UK when he censored the broadcast of the Act On Co2 campaign labelling it as insidious propaganda.
But defiant students involved in running the radio station at Queen's, which broadcasts on 1134mw, claimed they were ready to hit back on the airwaves.
They also challenged him to a public debate on the issue.
