Dell seeks to sell off factories - report

watch

It is reported that computer giant Dell is trying to sell many of its factories around the world in an effort to cut costs and improve profitability.

The Wall Street Journal has said that in recent months, Dell has approached contract computer manufacturers, mostly in Asia, with offers to sell the plants.

A spokesman for Dell in Ireland has declined to comment, describing the Wall Street Journal report as 'speculative'.
