Four teens have been rescued in Ballycotton Bay, Co Cork, after their boat's motor quit.
The teenagers took to the water in a punt in Ballycotton Bay yesterday afternoon. They ran into difficulties one mile north of Ballycotton when their outboard motor stopped working.
They were unable to return to shore, and alerted the Coast Guard by mobile phone.
Ballycotton RNLI lifeboat was tasked to lend assistance.
The teenagers were quickly located by the 14-metre lifeboat Austin Lidbury and returned safely to Ballycotton pier.
