Baghdad car bomb kills six people

A car bomb targetting an Iraqi police patrol has exploded near a market in Baghdad, killing at least six people and injuring 14.

The explosion occurred near a local market in Baghdad's northeastern Al-Shaab neighbourhood.

The six dead included a woman. Three policemen were among the injured.

Baghdad has seen a decrease in bomb attacks over the past few months.

However, insurgents have still managed to carry out some bombings in the Iraqi capital.
