An 11-year-old boy remains in a critical condition with burns after he came into contact with electrical wires in Wexford town yesterday
The local boy had been playing with a number of children when the accident happened.
Gardaí are investigating reports that a nail was driven through a set of wires on a timber electricity poll on the Newtown Road resulting in the boy being severely burned.
The boy was later taken to Our Ladys Children's Hospital in Crumlin.
