Upcoming ballot for TEEU electricians

The Technical Engineering and Electrical Union is to begin balloting its members in the coming weeks for strike action in the electrical contracting sector.

The union has begun a series of information meetings to discuss a legal challenge by a newly formed employers' body to a pay agreement for the sector.

The TEEU says it will ballot members for strike action against employers who refuse to pay a cost-of-living increase, which it says has been due since the start of April.
