The Fine Gael leader, Enda Kenny, has said he is surprised by the drop in support for the party in the latest opinion poll.
According to today's Irish Times TNS/mrbi poll, Fine Gael has lost three points since the last poll three weeks ago and is now at 23%.
Mr Kenny said he did not think the result was a permanent thing.
