US President George W Bush is to visit Belfast next month.

He will meet incoming First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness at the Northern Ireland Assembly.

His visit follows the restoration of power-sharing in Northern Ireland and this month's US investment conference there in which around 80 US firms participated.

Mr Bush leaves on a seven-day European tour including the UK, Germany, France and Italy on 9 June.

He is expected to stop in Belfast on his return journey to the US in mid-June.
