Hundreds of mourners have been attending the funeral Mass of the writer Nuala O'Faolain in Dublin.
The packed congregation heard a tribute from friends, including one from the broadcaster Marian Finucane.
Ms Finucane described her as a woman of wit, grace and humour.
Ms O'Faolain died on Friday night at the Blackrock Hospice in Dublin, three months after she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
She had been inundated with good wishes after she spoke frankly about her illness on RTÉ Radio's Marian Finucane Show last month.
