At least 30 people have been killed and 65 others wounded in two suicide blasts northeast of Baghdad.
The second bomber struck as crowds rushed to evacuate the wounded from the first attack, a common tactic used by bombers to maximise casualties.
Earlier today another eight people were killed in a car bomb explosion in Iraqi capital. 21 more people were wounded in that blast.
The explosion happened in the central Karrada neighbourhood as a US military patrol passed through the area.
It was not immediately known whether the patrol was hit by the bomb.
