The Coroner has released the bodies of the Flood family from Clonroche, Co Wexford, for burial.
Diarmuid and Lorraine Flood, along with their children, Julie and Mark, died over the weekend in their Clonroche home.
The results of post mortem examinations showed that both parents died from gunshot wounds.
Diarmuid Flood died from a single gunshot wound to the head and his wife Lorraine sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest.
The precise cause of death for the children was not immediately known after the post mortem.
Their injuries were consistent with the fire but gardaí said that was not the cause of death.
The garda investigation is ongoing.
