400 jobs are under threat at the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
The Housing Executive, which builds and regulates public housing, has dismissed 60 temporary staff in recent weeks. Cost savings plans may lead to hundreds more job losses in the next three years.
NIPSA, the union which represents many HE staff, has threatened industrial action to prevent the job cuts.
