The PSNI and the Coast Guard have resumed a search for an elderly couple whose car was found abandoned on the north Antrim coast.

Concerns are growing for 74-year-old Robin Wilson and his 73-year-old wife Margaret from Newtownabbey after their blue Citroën car was found lying open at Ballintoy Harbour on Friday.

Money and personal belongings were found inside the vehicle, which still had the keys in the lock. The couple are regular visitors to the area.

Search teams will use a digger to remove seaweed around the harbour area and a police boat with divers is due to arrive at the scene later.

A police helicopter was deployed during Saturday's search, in which around 30 people took part.

PSNI detectives have appealed for anyone who may have seen the couple to contact them.
