At least seven people have been killed in a suicide attack in the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi.
The blast took place around 1km from President Pervez Musharaff's military residence in the city.
Two police officers and a cyclist were among those killed in the attack.
11 others were injured, including five policemen. An interior ministry spokesman said the police appeared to be the target of the attack.
It is understood the attack happened as Gen Musharraf was meeting top government and provincial officials to discuss the security situation.
The attack also comes less than two weeks after twin suicide attacks in the southern city of Karachi killed 139 people during a procession to welcome former premier Benazir Bhutto home from eight years in exile.
