A leading loyalist politician has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a teenage schoolboy in Belfast two years ago.
Billy Hutchinson, a former UVF prisoner and member of the Progressive Unionist Party, is among seven people being detained.
Catholic schoolboy Thomas Devlin was stabbed to death in August 2005 as he walked home with friends after buying sweets at a petrol station in north Belfast.
Before this latest operation, 12 people had been detained as part of the inquiry but no-one had ever been charged.
Billy Hutchinson was arrested during an early morning police swoop. Earlier this year he played a leading role in the UVF's decision to stand down from paramilitary activity.
Dawn Purvis, current leader of the PUP, said she found the arrest of her party colleague to be questionable.
Three other men and three women have also been arrested in connection with the murder inquiry.
All seven are being questioned at Antrim Police Station.
