Four separate shooting incidents took place across Limerick city and county overnight.
No one was injured in the shootings, but a number of properties were damaged.
The first incident occurred at around 10.30pm in Richmond Park in the Corbally area of the city.
Four shots were fired at the house through the front door, there was one man in the house at the time and a red Toyota car was seen leaving the scene.
A short time later shots were fired at a house in Glencairn in Dooradoyle.
In the early hours of this morning, shots were fired at a house in Munchins Street in the St Mary's Park estate. A family was in the house at the time of the incident.
Gardaí also attended the scene of a fourth shooting at a house on Munchins Street a short time later.
The house was shot at four times. A family was inside, but no one was injured.
