A 37-year-old man was injured in a shooting incident in Ballymun in Dublin last night.
The man was shot in the chest with a handgun, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The incident happened in Carton Terrace in Ballymun at around 9.30pm.
Gardaí say the injured man was one of two men standing outside a house. They were approached by a third man and a shot was fired.
A black Audi A6 was found at Dubber Cross, St Margarets, shortly afterwards. An attempt had been made to burn it.
This scene is preserved and gardaí are investigating the possibility that the car was used in the incident.
