A security worker from Northern Ireland has been killed in an explosion while working in Iraq.

Raymond Moore, who worked for ArmorGroup, was protecting US government munitions experts.

He died on 7 September when the vehicle he was travelling in was blown up by a roadside bomb near Numaniyah in southern Iraq.

The 40-year-old from Tandragee, Co Armagh joined the firm in 2006 and had previously served in the British army for 16 years.

He had received a bravery award for helping rescue US soldiers  after a suicide bombing earlier this year.
