42 killed in Indian blasts

At least 42 people have been confirmed killed in a series of blasts, minutes apart, in two locations in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad.

At least nine people were killed in one explosion at an amusement park.

In the state of Andhra Pradesh, some 50 people were injured in explosions that have been described by the chief minister, Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as a suspected terrorist act.

India's Home Minister Shivraj Patil is due to visit the city today.

Police have found seven more unexploded bombs.
