Two men have been arrested in relation to a fire in the Ballymagroarty area of Derry over the weekend.
The two, aged 20 and 18, were charged with arson with intent to endanger life, and will appear before the Magistrates Court tomorrow.
A woman, her 10-year-old son and their pet dog were rescued from the fire at their home in Harty Court in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Firefighters said the pair is lucky to be alive after a flammable substance was poured through the letterbox and set alight, trapping them upstairs.
They were woken up by a smoke alarm in the house and called the Fire and Rescue Service from a bedroom.
