13 dead in Baghdad blasts

At least 13 people have been killed and 38 wounded in three separate car bombings in Baghdad.

Two near simultaneous attacks occured in the central Karrada district of the capital

One bomb went off near a government officewhich issues identity cards to Iraqis.

The office is near one of the main bridges leading across the Tigris River to the heavily fortified Green Zone.

The second exploded in a busy shopping area in a predominantly Shia area.

Later, a third car bomb rocked an area near Baghdad's so-called Green Zone, a US-controlled part of the war-torn capital, killing one person and wounding another three.
