An application for bail by a 50-year-old man, charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Nenagh last Sunday has been adjourned until next Friday at Nenagh district court.
Carlos Ruja, originally from Latvia and with an address in Tullamore in Co Offaly, is charged with assault causing harm to Alexey Pekelman in Nenagh on 15 July.
Gardaí objected to bail because they are waiting to authenticate the accused man's passport.
Judge Michael Reilly adjourned the bail hearing until 27 July.
