Lebanon army resume shelling for third day

The Lebanese army has resumed the shelling of a Palestinian refugee camp for the third day running as it tries to dislodge Islamic militants there.

Most residents have fled the camp, but several thousand remain.

There are reports that Lebanese soldiers have gained control over most of the area and are encircling the militants in a small part of the camp.

The militants denied this and said they would fight to the end.
