Gardaí in Dublin are investigating what they say is a suspicious device which was discovered under a car.
They say the find was made at Lindisfarne Vale in Clondalkin shortly after midnight.
The device was on fire at the time.
It has been removed by Army experts for further examination.
A number of houses were evacuated.
