A Romanian film set towards the end of the communist era has won the Cannes Film Festival's top honour.
"4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" was the critics' favourite to win the Palme d'Or.
The story centres around a young student who undergoes an illegal abortion and the terrible price she and her friend must pay.
