Dunshaughlin - Man's conviction for wife's murder is set aside

The Court of Criminal Appeal has set aside the conviction of a 45-year-old man for the murder of his wife and has ordered a retrial.

Anton Mulder with an address at Dunshaughlin in Co Meath was jailed for life a year ago for the murder of his wife, Colleen Suzanne Mulder, at their home on 17 December 2004.

Mr Mulder, who is originally from Durban in South Africa, admitted killing her but denied murder.

The Court of Criminal Appeal will give its reasons for ordering a retrial at a later date.
