A 54-year-old man has been found guilty of murdering another man in Co Clare two years ago.
Anthony Kelly, of Emlough na Muckin, Waterville, Co Kerry, admitted killing taxi driver Liam Moloney in February 2005.
Kelly had claimed he was suffering from a mental disorder at the time, but this was not accepted by the jury and he was convicted of murder and given a mandatory life sentence.
Afterwards, Mr Moloney's brother Fintan welcomed the fact that a violent criminal had been convicted of murder.
But he said the family was dissatisfied that it had taken 27 months for the criminal justice system to bring a straightforward case of robbery and murder to justice.
He said the family intended to raise this with Minister for Justice Michael McDowell.
