Two arrested in Finglas double murder probe

Gardaí investigating the murders of Anthony Campbell and Martin Hyland in Dublin last December have arrested two men.

Martin 'Marlo' Hyland, 39, was shot dead on 12 December as he slept in the home of a relative in Scribblestown Park in Finglas.

20-year-old apprentice plumber, Anthony Campbell from St Michans Flats in Dublin was also shot dead.

Mr Campbell had been working in the house at the time and gardaí said he was 'in the wrong place at the wrong time'.

This morning, gardaí arrested a 26-year-old and a 40-year-old in Finglas.

The two are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations.
