Women who fought in the 1916 Rising were celebrated in Dublin today.
Female activists and descendents of the women who took part in the 1916 Rising and the War of Independence dressed in period costumes and re-enacted the raising of the flag at Dublin's Liberty Hall.
The event was organised by the Dublin community group, the North Inner City Folklore Project.
