Gardaí in Mill Street, Co Galway, are investigating a shooting incident which occurred last night at Ard Alainn, Ballybane, Galway.
A number of men were seen driving from the scene in a dark car having fired a single shot through the downstairs window of a house.
Nobody was injured following the incident and the scene has been preserved crime scene examination.
